In order to take advantage of this program, a student must be academically prepared. These “gateway” requirements underscore the need to provide rigorous instruction to prepare students for college. A good initial approach is to teach Algebra 1 concurrently with Exploring Computer Science <http://www.exploringcs.org/> .
Student Eligibility Requirements:
1. Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher in high school
2. Agree to follow the prescribed course pathway and to participate in program activities
3. Have completed algebra I, algebra II, and geometry and preferably completed math analysis (pre-calculus).
