The University of California Curriculum Integration (UCCI) Institute is seeking talented and motivated high school teachers and administrators from across California to participate in a professional development institute to be held May 1-4, 2011 at the Lake Arrowhead Resort. The primary goal of the institute is to develop innovative courses that integrate Career Technical Education (CTE) with "a-g" curriculum for adoption by high schools statewide.
The Spring 2011 Institute will focus on subject areas "c” - Mathematics and "d” - Laboratory Science, in conjunction with the following CTE industry sectors:
- Engineering and Design
- Finance and Business
- Hospitality, Tourism, and Recreation
Costs associated with attendance, with the exception of transportation, will be covered by the University of California with support from the California Department of Education.
