After meeting this past Friday, those in attendance discussed and agreed to the following:
1. CTE/CPA Pathway program was clarified to all members. List of current students enrolled in this program will be shared with current pathway teachers. Tenth grade pathway teachers are: Jim Depew, Douglas Phelps, Rick Mayorga, and Eileen Bustos.
2. Commit to building rooms that resemble our teaching practices. Specifically, we agreed to clean up clutter and dedicate space for posting student work demonstrating CA State Standards. Please follow through.
3. Committees will begin to meet to plan for respective parent and student events. Mr. Sosa (SAGE club sponsor and Activities Committee member) generated a list of student events for November and December. Mrs. Munoz and Mr. Maynez, and the Parent Outreach Committee, are developing the details of our first parent event to take place this year. As soon as such events are finalized, they will be posted!
4. Mr. Valdez was welcomed and spoke to all members and vouched his full support for SAGE. We agreed to work on getting students inside class, as opposed to allowing them to hang outside rooms until the tardy bell rang. Let's continue to work together in this regard.
