ACE Students Win Structure Award

Saturday, Oct 24 was the Sci-Arc competition. The competition was to see who could construct a three story structure using limited glue and dried spaghetti noodles. It then had to hold five pounds and be put through a shake table test to simulate an earthquake. The Downtown LA team (Belmont, Roybal, LA Global Studies, and Camino Nuevo) was able to withstand the highest amount of weight and shaking, better than any other school in LA County and won the Structure Award!!

Our next meeting is at Perkins + Will, an architect's office, next Wednesday November 4th at 4pm.
